I’m a worker in the salt mines of the tech industry, earning money to support my real passions: travel, skiing, and eating good food. Luckily, those 3 things often go hand-in-hand, and you’ll find mention of all of them in my posts. I live in Seattle, and I like it there – it’s a good base for someone like me, and after my wandering I’m never disappointed to come home to it.
People travel for a lot of different reasons, and this page on a travel blog is usually where the author talks about theirs: travel as a way to “find yourself,” or travel as a way to escape; travel as a way to make money, or travel as way to kill time because you already have enough.
I’m not sure which camp I fall into (I know it’s not the last one), but I’m not really interested in thinking too deeply about it. Mostly, I suppose I travel- and ski, and eat – because it’s fun. The world is pretty awesome; there’s a ton of stuff to see and learn, and many adventures to be had. Then, when I come back, I write about it here… because that part is also fun, and surprisingly educational. Enjoy!
